Goliath and Semi Goliath cranes are extreemly verastile and can be buit to your spacific requirements. The golith crane consist of two large Aframes supporting either side of the gantry beam. The frames are driven by powered end carraiges at floor level. The end carraiges run on rails that have been fixed to the floor. Long runs can be made this way without the need for expencive supporting steelwork. This system also has the additional benifit of keeping large areas clear such as yards and wharehouses etc.
The semi goliath generally has one end supported by an A frame and the other end supported by steelwork. This allows you to make a cost effective crane if you can fit steelwork to one side of the building. This allows you again to keep large areas clear of supporting steelwork.
