Hoist

Scaffold Hoists

Simply installed wire rope hoists for light lifts.  Different models offer safe work loads between 70kg and 300kg, powered by 110v supply, with heights of lift approximately 30 or 50 metres.  Some models can be statistically suspended; others are inclusive of jib frame and pivoted scaffold clamps.

Frame Mounted Hoists

Ideal for free standing on site lifts when incorporating ballast boxes as illustrated of alternatively clamped direct to scaffold.  The whole system breaks down to component form for ease of mobility and assembly, facilitating the separate use of both hoist and runway track.  This is a useful option when bolted and incorporated direct to the scaffold framework.  Increased travel is obtained by using two tracks.  Lifting capacity 300kg S.W.L with heights of lift up to 45 metres.  Power supply either 110v or 240v according to type.

Fibre Rope Blocks

London pattern blocks, single double or treble sheaves can provide safe working loads up to 3500kg according to the number of falls and configuration.  A single person can be expected to exert a pull of 33kg providing power to lift 152kg.  For heavier lifts an appropriate winch will be required.

Gin Wheels

Also referred to as jenny wheels, used throughout the building industry for very light lifts.  Available with hook or eye attachment.

Electric Chain Blocks

All manufactured to the highest standards, there are a wide variety of hoists to suit many different requirements.  Lifting capacities range from 500kg to 10 tonne S.W.L.  Models exist for 110v, 220/240v and 400/440v supply, single or double fall, according to weight, size and capacity.  Hoist operation is via a fully insulated push button pendant control and can provide dual control for electric powered travel trolleys when required.  Special low headroom models provide maximum lift in confined spaces, standard units are available  with either hook or eye suspension.

Air Hoists

Similar in application to the electric chain blocks, the vane or piston operated motors maintain certain advantages according to the working environment and use.  Capacities range from 1 tonne to 100 tonne and provide excellent power to weight ratios, especially at the higher capacities.  Other benefits include variable speed control, no electrical circuitry, can be used in explosive environments, untroubled by friendly working conditions i.e. dust, heat, humidity, etc.

Electric Wire Rope Hoists

Commonly used in conjuction with travelling cranes.  The type illustrated is mounted on a standard crab unit, they are also foot mounted.  They can be incorporated with standard under slung trolleys, low headroom trolleys, dual hoist crabs and for monorail use.  A choice of motors can be offered, from single and two speeds to slip ring motors, incorporating elaborate speed controls.
