Complex factory configurations can pose special problems, but they are easy to solve with underslung travelling cranes. The crane track is mounted directly on the factory ceiling and not on free standing structural or building columns, allowing efficient material handling solutions even in tight spaces with difficult design conditions.
With minimum side approach dimension and cantilevers to suit individual conditions, underslung travelling cranes make full use of the space available. The highest hook position can also be raised by installing the main girder up between the end carriages.
This type of crane works particularly well in aircraft hangers or large industrial buildings where you do not wish to span the entire building or wish to have multiple cranes in one single span. Underslung cranes can be manufactured in single or double girder options.
